Steamboat

Steamboat......... well..... it symbolize the metal pot which is boat-like, hollow in the middle for the charcoal to burn and...... steam off-course when the soup starts to boil...... make sense right???? The person who invented this method of cooking food is real genius indeed!

Nowadays, family at home can just cooked steamboat in a simple way, that is using electric pots or even rice cooker - aha..... smart right..... that is what we always do at home (our little secret)!!

But to have the real steamboat using the old-fashioned way, is still available in certain food outlets. Let me introduce you to a popular place called 'My House Steamboat' situated along Jalan Tun Razak, Kuching. It is our favourite steamboat eating spot, and whenever we have friends coming to Kuching we are sure to bring them there cos' it is near to the city; reasonable price of RM20.00 per head (excluding drinks); varieties of food specially meant for steamboat; good & cooling dining environment; two choices of soups to choose from i.e. Chicken or Tom Yam (if big group you can have two types of soup), etc.....etc.......

Another great thing is, apart from steamboat they also served ready cooked food such as Fried Chicken, Nuggets, Fried Beehoon, Fried Noodle, Stir-fry vegetable & at times when you are lucky you can have Crabs. They also served Satays & Kebabs (chicken & lamb) and not to forget unlimited flow & flavours of Ice-Cream!!!! Thinking of all the nice food really makes me hungry.........

This is also a good place for celebrating friend's birthdays, gatherings or socializing. Mind you, during special occasions like Mother's Day, Father's Day & Festive occasions it is always full house & prior booking is necessary to ensure that you have a place. Guess you better go try it out.....
