Celebrating CNY the UNIQUE way...... [Part 5]

15th February 2010 (Monday) - We all decided the night before to spoil ourselves by sleeping late with no intention of going on a long journey but to spend quality family time at home instead!

Have a light breakfast at home with Nescafe & CNY Cakes, Biscuits & Barbecue Meat Slices. Just before noon we went out to look for something to grab for lunch and as most of the stalls are still close so we ended up having SAKAE SUSHI. The word 'SAKAE' means 'growth' in Japanese. The best thing about this SUSHI is it comes with its own brand of Genmaicha Tea Bag which is Green tea & Roasted rice. It really has a nice unique aroma which I've never tasted before, and really love it!

The Frog symbolises a brand that is far sighted and poised to grow by leaps and bounds. Its smile indicates a friendly company, welcoming all. It also characterizes the friendly service staff fronting our restaurants ensuring that all our guests and customers enjoy their meals and leave the restaurants happy. Last but not least, the logo symbol and Sakae Sushi set in a refreshing green, is synonymous with g
rowth and health.

We've tasted the various types of Sushi which are offered there including the rice. Choulyee & Alex bought a box of Tea Bag for us to bring back home Kuching, which I am now enjoying it while updating this blog article.

We then decided to get some vege & ingredients for our home-cook dinner as well as the next morning's breakfast, which Choulyee prefer Sandwiches. We went into Giant Supermarket & did our shopping & left with all the things which we need for our cooking and on our way home bought a packet of Kueh Tiaw Soup for Karen as she's taking a good rest after her long journey travelling since Thursday night by Express Bus from KL/Kuala Terengganu/1 and a half hours ferry journey to Redang Resort, had her interview, then stayed over for a night and made a return trip again to KL/Melaka to meet up with us on Saturday night. The long bus & ferry ride is really tiring and further more following us with the Melaka trip and back to KL!!!

We all enjoyed the simple home-cooked dinner which I prepared and also the tossing of Yu Sheng which Choulyee bought. This customary of tossing Yu Sheng with everyone standing up with their chopsticks while saying "toss for good health, good luck & prosperity" and the Yu Sheng which is tossed higher and higher will symbolize continuous promotions.

Karen is not being captured as she is our camera-girl!

After dinner, we all gather for our usual 'Card' games during the CNY, we don't gamble big money but using coins, just to have a feel of this season and a happy-fun time for our family. Alex also bought few cans of beer to add more cheers to our celebration. It is indeed another day of fun, laughter, happiness, peace & love!!!
