A Happy and Blessed New Year 2017

A very big HELLO to all beautiful people out there!  It is the first day of Year 2017.  Let us all start the New Year with a joyful heart and a vibrant soul. 

As we all Logged Out of the Year 2016 and Logged In to the New Year 2017 roughly about 15 hours ago, we are leaving behind the old chapters that are filled with pages of good and bad; smooth days and rough ones; the happy and sad; nice and ugly; joys and sorrow and so on. Whatever it is, I believe that we have all begin the New Year with happiness, cheers and smiles on our faces. Definitely, we will also be looking back at all the warm memories, feel proud with certain achievements or take a lesson from our previous mistakes.  May this new year fill us all with endless fun and laughter in our everyday lives.

On this joyous day let me share this beautiful phrase which I've came across with everyone....

Each moment in a day has it's own value.

Morning brings HOPE,

Hope you will have all of these everyday.

The first week of the New Year 2015!

HELLO everyone!  We are entering the first week of the year 2015, and pray that it's a great beginning for us all and will be a wonderful and blessed year to come.  For whatever things that comes our way, let us not loose hope, be in constant prayer with The Lord, as He is always there to listen to our needs and answers our prayers: "Seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be open unto you, Ask and it will be given, Amen!"

The new year started off with rain but with God's grace when it's time for my children and grand-boy to board the flight back to their hometown, the sky cleared, winds died down and rain stopped! What a miracle indeed "Praise The Lord, Amen!"  The flight journey was a smooth one and not to mention the weather at the other side of the destination also gave no cause for complain "Thank you Lord, Alleluia!"

On the overall the weather have been nice to us as we still gets to see the sun in between rain and the cloudy weather. What more do we expect during the Landas or raining season??  Personally I do not ask for more but instead 'be thankful' for the weather have been very nice to us starting end of last year 2014 throughout the beginning of this year 2015 ~ smile ~

Living in this challenging and competitive world surrounded with material things of new technologies, here's a little advice and reminder to us all......

Christmas countdown.....

It's a week to CHRISTMAS!!  How fast time flies.....  

This year I'll be spending Christmas with my children and grandboy Brendan away from my hometown. Well, I am feeling happy and joyful at the same time will be missing dear hubby and Aaron.  That is life, we simply can't get the best of both worlds right??  Look at the positive side of life to get the best out of everything ~ SMILES ~

The beautiful Christmas decorations in Shopping Malls and the soothing, lovely Christmas Songs which are played and aired really makes the Christmas Season comes alive. May we be filled with peace, joy, happiness, cheers, good tidings and merriment during this special season and the whole year through. Wishing everyone MERRY CHRISTMAS in advance - ENJOY & Be HAPPY!

Something Magical of Christmas.....

CHRISTMAS has always been the joyous season of the year for me!  What is the real thing behind it?? Presents?? Well, when I am young it may sound like it, but even now I still get that magical feeling which is hard to describe but one thing for sure I can share is that, it's a season full of cheer, peace, joy, good tidings, merriment, sharing and most of all thanksgiving. 

For as long as I can remember, back when I was a young child we have a Christmas Tree being put up in the comfort of our sweet home, the only difference is that those days I doubt we have  fake Christmas Trees being sold.  That is why my dad would scout around our huge big garden to look for one suitable Christmas Tree, cut it and bring it into our sitting room, decorate it, put presents underneath it and that is where the magic of Christmas begins......

Christmas after Christmas..... everything is still the same, except that for my children's generation they get to have a fake Christmas Tree with many more choices of beautiful and colourful decorations for us to choose from and the styles of decorations can change from one year to another!

Wherever we are and  whatever situations we are in I trust that God is blessing each and everyone of us with his special blessings during this season of the year.  Let us let the magic of Christmas fills the air, flow through us and rejoice! May the peace and joy of Christmas live in our hearts all year long - Amen!

Year of THE SNAKE!

Just a month ago, we are all busy preparing for the Chinese Lunar New Year, and who could have imagine that we are now entering the 6th day of the celebration!  As it's still within the 15 days, I would like to take this golden opportunity to wish everyone out there....

Hopefully, the Year of The Snake will bring us good health, abundance joy, peace, happiness, love and prosperity.  As we trod into another new Lunar year, may we all look forward towards a smooth-sailing journey. Let us all pray for a better tomorrow and may God bless us all through our everyday undertakings.

It's NEW YEAR'S DAY!!! 

Another year to look forward to, with love, peace, joy, happiness, health, prosperity and wonders, in aplenty! Expecting to have lots of beautiful fire crackers to usher the New Year 2013, but instead its rather quiet and peaceful in Kuching City!  

To be frank, I didn't have any resolutions in particular for this year, just let each day pass and will think about it when anything in particular crops up! This might be better off than having it listed down and not being able to materialise! 

Wishing, praying and hoping that we will all have a good start of the new year and the best of the days to come.  Again, here's wishing everyone a bright and colourful new year......

Year 2013 is just round the corner.......

Being a grandmother of a 15 months old grandson, I tend to lost count of days, which at times I even have to ask those around me 'what day is today?' or 'what is the date today?' hahahaha.... laughing at myself for being 'lost in space', which is my favourite phrase!  With all my concentrations on Brendan, I have been fully occupied!

I never could have imagine how I manage taking care of  Brendan from a tiny new born baby to a toddler and considering his body size now, a small boy!

In my previous blog, we are all welcoming Christmas, and now the new year 2013 is just round the corner...... WoW!! indeed the days are passing real fast!!

Hopefully, the Year of  The Snake will be a great year for everyone, young and old alike...... let's pray for the best of God's abundance blessings upon us all, may we stay healthy, be happy, joyful and prosperous. 

As the new year is just three days away, here's wishing you all........

CHRISTMAS

CHRISTMAS is the most awaited season of the year for me, and it has been such since when I was young!!!  WHY???  Well, during my childhood days most probably its because of the presents!  Scenario changes with time, being well aware that Christ was born during Christmas and its the spirit of Christmas that brings us peace, joy, hope and happiness.

In another five days time, Christians all over the world will be celebrating this special season.  It is during this season that the air is filled with so much warmth and love.  

My special greetings to everyone who are celebrating Christmas and for those who are not, wishing you all "Happy Holiday" and God bless each and everyone!

Another year is drawing to a close, in just roughly about one and a half short hours. Whatever the Year 2011 brings, let us treasure the good but let go of the rough ride and may we all welcome the New Year with an open heart and pray for the best of another year......

The season of Love, Peace, Joy and Merriment is just round the corner, roughly in about seven short weeks to come. Well, this season of the year is the most welcome of all, especially for all Christians throughout the world as we will be celebrating CHRISTMAS!

Year end is also the best time for families to go for long holidays - both parents and children will spend their quality family time together, embracing family love and peace, as throughout the year most families are busy with their work and school schedules, young and old alike!

Who could have imagine that the Year of The Rabbit flew by like lightning, soon we will be ushering the new Year 2012, which is the Year of The Dragon. Till then, let us all enjoy the best of the remaining of this great year.

Laughter Is The Best Medicine!

'Laughter Is The Best Medicine' is a phrase which most people will agree with. Many a times when we are down, worry over something or feeling stress, a good laugh will change such a situation!

As April 1st to 7th is Laugh Week, let us all spread laughter around so as to make this world a better place for us all to live in......

A celebration of Moon Cakes & Lanterns.......

Chinese all over the world are celebrating Mid Autumn Festival or commonly known as 'Moon Cake Festival' or "Moon Festival" on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar.

Since at a very young age, this festival is being captured in my mind as a celebration of 'moon cakes' and 'lanterns'. Varieties of moon cakes are being on sale and during our young days we enjoyed munching those sweet and tasty moon cakes. On the night of the festival, moon cakes are being served with tea, while the children enjoyed marching around with their beautiful lanterns.

Today, most people are more health conscious, thus choosing the moon cakes which is less sweet is most people's concerned, including myself off course. Today most moon cake makers are more sensitive to the requirements and concerns of the customers, so we can easily purchase the moon cakes which are less sweet compared to the olden days. In today's modern scenario, not many young children are seen carrying their lanterns on the night of this festival. Coming to think of it, I just wonder?????? "will this festival be forgotten in the years of the new generations to come???????????"

I prepare a very simple family dinner for the three of us and we all enjoyed it very much. Here's to share...........

A day for self-reflection!

Every year on 13th September, I always have a self-reflection....... reflecting on whether I am having any negative thoughts which will contribute to my negative attitude and character????? You might ask WHY???

Well, today is "Positive Thinking Day!"

It is this day that helps to remind me to always think positive in order to lead a positive life. I always believe that negative thoughts will create negative energies which makes our life unbearable and miserable. So, why not cast out all negative thoughts so we can lead a happy, carefree, joyful, peaceful, contented and..... and..... all the positive things which contributes to a great life ahead!!!

Greetings to all after a while of silence........

August has been a busy month for me and without much realisation today is already the 28th!! Taking a view at my blog, OMG..... I have only two articles in my blog for this month! Frankly speaking, I need to put my thinking cap into action whenever I intend to do some write ups, or else I would rather keep silence for a while - That's my writing ethic!!!

Here comes August...... my favourite month of the year!

As usual the month of August is my most favourite month, and its a month which I long waiting for! Every year during this 8th month there are many 'good to-look-forward' happenings with great variety of delicious foods; great events to commemorate Kuching City Day and also our National Day Celebration and not to mention, August is.........

Remember to wear a smile on our face and spread it to everyone around us! As smile is contagious it can be easily spread. In this special month of Smile, let us all bring happiness, joy, laughter, peace, love & cheers to everyone. May we be able to make this world a better place for everyone to live in and for the betterment of our future!

With July 11th as "Cheer Up Day" I really intend to post this blog early in the morning but this Sunday seems to be rather busy and hope I am not too late to do so only now!!

So, here's me sending you all this big and powerful SMILE to fill your day with lots of cheers and happiness..........For those who 'frown' more than 'smile' in their everyday life, why not give it a change from today onwards as frowning will only put more wrinkles on your face where as smiles will enhance our youthful looks.
