We were met at KLIA2 by grandboy Brendan, as it's Saturday and not a school day, as well as Alex and Choulyee who are not at work.
During my earlier trip he has been mentioning about asking Ye Yeh (grandpa) to buy a blue car for him and this is what I've promised him too. See how happy he is when I gave him the blue car and on our way home he kept asking to go home as soon as possible, but we have to stop by for dinner first. While waiting for the rest to finish up grandpa and grandson enjoys a short chat and catching up.....
When we reached home he's even more happy with more birthday gifts from grandaunt Carol, uncle Aaron, not forgetting angpows from Cho Cho (great grandmother) and grandaunt Michelle and also 'Cars' bag, t-shirt and comic books which we bought in Langkawi.
The next day, grandboy is to fetch his maternal grandparents from the airport, so we both went out with Karen, and have brunch at.....
2 typles of soup |
After a hearty meal we went to search for birthday present as Karen just came back from Phuket last night, finally found a car track as Brendan have lots of toy cars at home.
Have a short rest in the afternoon and soon it's time for us to get ready for grandboy's birthday dinner at a nearby restaurant. While waiting, Brendan is enjoying playing with his new car which daddy bought from US and the nemo soft toy from uncle Aaron.
At the restaurant.....
Brendan's birthday cake |
daddy lights the candle |
singing 'Happy Birthday' song |
blowing the candles |
cake cutting |
Can tell by his facial expression "Yeah, finally I can eat the cake!" Brendan loves to eat cake, and that is why we need to do away with the 'cake business' first before dinner! Then we all sat down for dinner......
It's indeed a wonderful feeling to see how much Brendan have grown, from a tiny little baby and so soon he's turning THREE! "Happy Birthday grandboy," we love you ~ muah ~
